Nineteen year old Margaret Rahman, wearing trousers with flared bottoms, poses at her back street boutique "Frilly Poppins" which she runs from the parlour of her terrace house in Gwendoline Street, Toxteth, Liverpool.
She is assisted by 17 year old neighbour Maureen Howard, seen here wearing skirt and hat, who makes belts and presses the clothes.
