launch of our new solar cabinet defibrillator which we have installed at the children? play park at Trentham Manor.

Seen (L-R) Jamie Richards the CEO of AEDdonte and Councillor Maxine Clark

Jamie Richards the CEO of AEDdonte said The chance of survival after Sudden Cardiac Arrest decreases minute by minute, but if someone is shocked with a defibrillator within 3 minutes their chance of survival increases by 70 %. I am delighted that as a charity we have been able to support the defibrillator campaign at Trentham Manor and showcasing our new Solar Powered Defibrillator Cabinet which means we do not require access to a power supply which is some cases can prove to be an issue. As with every installation we hope it will never be deployed but it? there and ready should it be needed.

Having an AED within a 1/2-mile radius from wherever you are I believe is a must. We would welcome further communities to get in touch to see if we can help.

AEDdonate covers the whole of the UK to raise awareness, knowledge and confidence in the safe use of defibrillators and CPR as well as fitting them within local communities.

Maxine Clark - When I was approached by the community and asked to get involved in raising the funds for a Defibrillator on Trentham Manor I agreed straight away. Along with Councillors Jellyman and Kelsall, I saw the value in this lifesaving resource and we offered to help in any way we could.

As Councillors we donated from our ward budget, wrote to all of the local businesses, and hand delivered the letters. As a result of this, we received some very generous raffle prizes.

Kate Hall - Fundraising Lead and Local Resident - The Community came together to raise funds as we all recognise how important it is to have a defibrillator where we live. We are extremely grateful to AED Donate, the Local Councillors and every local business that donated a prise for the raffle
