Pupils at St Mary's C.E Primary School in Tunstall held their harvest festival, but this year instead of the usual tins of beans and veggie packs the children brought in toilet rolls and cartons of UHT milk for the Macari Centre in Hanley.
Lou Macari was invited to the school for a special assembly and to receive all the goods for the centre.
The collection was boosted by donations from both Roy Evans Catering and Libra who are suppliers to the school.
