Pictured: GLAA and local police make an arrest at a business on Lower Bethesda Street in Hanley
Operation Seddon is a an investigation led by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA), a government agency with a remit of protecting vulnerable and exploited workers.
Warrants will be executed at two properties and a business in Hanley and Newcastle-under-Lyme on Wednesday morning (November 3).
At the same time, two premises will be searched in North Wales as part of the same investigation.
Three individuals are expected to be arrested on the day for suspected offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
This comes after two potential victims of modern slavery were safeguarded by the GLAA earlier this month and accepted into the government? National Referral Mechanism
