Red Brick Market opened on Floodgate Street in Digbeth on Monday, April 12 - the day the third lockdown ended. Two weeks later, about a dozen stalls have opened so far and there's room for some 65 traders in total. They can set their stalls up and not have to man it - payments are taken at the door at a central till. Entrepreneur Chris Day launched the first Red Brick Market in Liverpool and is now bringing the idea to Birmingham. A former industrial unit has been subdivided with partitions and each one given a power supply with one or more sockets depending on the unit size.
